Indie magazine hosts panel discussion with local women chefs

April Anderson, founder of Good Cakes & Bakes in Detroit.(Photo: April Anderson) The editors of Cherry Bombe, a biannual magazine that celebrates women and food, is bringing the mag's Radio Cherry Bombe to Detroit on Monday. As part of a 12-city Future of Food tour, the editors will be in front of a live audience from 6 to 8 p.m. recording an episode of their podcast at Good Cakes and Bakes on Livernois Avenue in Detroit. Guest panelists for the event include Good Cakes and Bakes' April Anderson,  Lisa Ludwinski of Sister Pie, Amanda Saab of Your Muslim Neighbor and Butter Bear bakery, Kate Williams of Lady of the House, Dorothy Hernandez of Sarap and Molly Mitchell of Rose's Fine Food.  Chef Kate Williams and her Lady of the House restaurant in Corktown have been receiving a wave of national press lately. (Photo: Marvin Shaouni, Marvin Shaouni, Marvin Shaouni) The panel will be talking about women in the food industry generally as well as their own plans.  “There are so many incredible women in the Detroit food world who've come to see us in New York.
