The folks who bought tickets for Urban Harvest's annual Sunday Supper last Sunday at Kiran's were treated to a multi-course meal assembled by some of the city's most popular chefs. The dinner, whose proceeds went toward Urban Harvest, was prepared by David Cordúa of Yum DMC, Dominick Lee of Poitín, Drake Leonards of Eunice, Martin Stayer of Nobie's, Jody Stevens of jodycakes, and Kiran Verma of Kiran's. Highlights included Texas redfish curry with local cauliflower, wagyu ragu with homemade pasta, and gluten-free strawberry cake with ginger pecan crumble and lemon cream. A special Sunday Supper will be Nov. 2 at St. John's School, part of the organization's 25-year anniversary celebration.   Drewery Place, a $200 million multi-family high-rise, will be opening in July at Drew and Main streets in Midtown, with dining tenants including The Flying Biscuit Cafe and Earthcraft Juicery. .

The tower comes from Caydon, an Australian property developer, and is the first phase of an ambitious project called Laneways, which includes a 200-key boutique hotel and outdoor space.  Prost! King's BierHaus will open its League City location on April 23, starting with dinner service (5 p.m.). On April 29, it'll begin all-day service with an 11 a.m. opening. The new location will feature King's popular sausages and 25 German beers, plus a dozen craft brews, along with a full-service bar (with outlets for laptop and phone chargers), tables and booths, and big beer-hall tables both inside and outside on a 5, 000-square-foot patio.  Speaking of Dominick Lee, the Poitín chef is teaming up with Tris' Austin Simmons for one of the latter's CollaborEIGHT dinners at 6 p.m. Monday evening. .
